There are two sets of terms and conditions here for car rental and car replacement services respectively.
Car Rental
1. Driver Requirements
- Drivers must be at least 21 years old.
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence.
- Additional drivers must be declared before the rental period begins.
2. Payment & Deposit
- Full rental payment and a refundable security deposit are required before vehicle collection.
- Deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle and rental duration.
- Deposit refunds are processed within 3–7 working days after the vehicle is returned, subject to inspection.
3. Vehicle Collection & Return
- Vehicles must be collected and returned at the agreed location and time.
- Late returns may incur additional charges.
- Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.
4. Fuel Policy
- Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when collected.
- Refuelling charges may apply if the fuel level is lower upon return.
5. Traffic Summons & Parking Charges
Customers are responsible for all parking fees, traffic fines and summons incurred during the rental period.
6. Vehicle Usage
The vehicle must not be:
- Used for racing or illegal activities.
- Driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Sub-rented or lent to unauthorized drivers.
- Taken outside Malaysia without prior written approval.
- Used to transport prohibited items.
Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
7. Accidents & Breakdown
- Any accident, theft or damage must be reported immediately.
- A police report must be lodged within 24 hours where required.
- Customers may be liable for repair costs and related charges.
8. Damage & Loss
Customers are responsible for:
- Vehicle damage caused during the rental period.
- Lost keys and accessories.
- Excessive cleaning charges.
- Missing or damaged parts.
9. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before collection are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to charges.
- No refund will be given after the scheduled pickup time.
10. Personal Belongings
ReadyDrive is not responsible for any personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
11. Right to Refuse Service
ReadyDrive reserves the right to reject or cancel any booking if a customer fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
By proceeding with the booking, customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Car Replacement
1. Introduction
Welcome to ReadyDrive.
These Terms & Conditions govern your ReadyDrive Membership and the use of our replacement vehicle services. By purchasing a ReadyDrive Membership, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Membership
ReadyDrive Membership provides eligible members with access to a replacement vehicle when the registered vehicle is unavailable due to an eligible event.
Membership is valid for twelve (12) months from the activation date.
Coverage becomes effective fourteen (14) days after successful payment ("Waiting Period").
3. Membership Eligibility
To qualify for a replacement vehicle, members must:
- Hold an active ReadyDrive Membership.
- Have completed the 14-day Waiting Period.
- Register one (1) vehicle under the membership.
- Ensure the registered vehicle has a valid motor insurance policy.
- Hold a valid driving licence.
- Submit all required supporting documents.
- Meet ReadyDrive's verification requirements.
4. Covered Events
Replacement vehicle benefits are available only when the registered vehicle is unavailable due to:
- Road traffic accident requiring repair.
- Vehicle theft.
5. Required Documents
Members may be required to provide:
- NRIC or Passport
- Valid Driving Licence
- Police Report relating to the incident
- Vehicle Registration Details
- Motor Insurance Details
- Any additional documents reasonably requested by ReadyDrive
ReadyDrive reserves the right to decline any request where sufficient supporting documentation cannot be provided.
6. Waiting Period
A fourteen (14) day Waiting Period applies to all new memberships.
Replacement vehicle benefits are not available for incidents occurring during the Waiting Period.
7. Registered Vehicle
Each membership is valid for one (1) registered vehicle only.
Requests involving any other vehicle will not be accepted.
Vehicle changes may be requested and are subject to ReadyDrive's approval.
8. Vehicle Allocation
Replacement vehicles are subject to availability.
ReadyDrive reserves the right to provide a similar vehicle category where necessary.
Vehicle collection and return locations will be communicated during the booking process.
9. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required before vehicle release.
The deposit may be used to offset:
- Vehicle damage
- Fuel differences
- Traffic summons
- Toll charges
- Late return charges
- Cleaning charges (where applicable)
Unused balances will be refunded after vehicle inspection.
10. Member Responsibilities
Members agree to:
- Drive responsibly.
- Comply with all Malaysian laws.
- Maintain the vehicle in good condition.
- Return the vehicle on time.
- Notify ReadyDrive immediately in the event of any accident or damage.
11. Membership Restrictions
Membership:
- Covers one registered vehicle only.
- Is non-transferable.
- May only be used by the registered member.
12. Exclusions
Replacement vehicle benefits are not available for:
- Mechanical or electrical breakdown.
- Routine servicing or maintenance.
- Wear and tear.
- Tyre punctures.
- Flat battery.
- Running out of fuel.
- Manufacturing defects.
- Incidents occurring during the Waiting Period.
- Vehicles without valid motor insurance.
- Incidents where a valid police report cannot be provided.
- Claims involving vehicles other than the registered vehicle.
- Fraudulent or misleading claims.
13. Suspension & Termination
ReadyDrive reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership where fraud, abuse or breach of these Terms & Conditions is suspected.
14. Amendments
ReadyDrive may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website.
